Dr. Fakhrul Islam Babu 孫逸仙 is a community advocate and humanitarian volunteer whose work centers on cultural harmony, civic participation, and practical support for underprivileged and distressed individuals in Hong Kong and Bangladesh. Over more than two decades, he has been involved in community-based initiatives supporting ethnic-minority inclusion, youth and family engagement, charitable relief, and public-minded service.
Community leadership and civic participation:
Dr. Fakhrul is active in district and community networks in Hong Kong, including mentoring and family-support roles. He serves as a Parents Ambassador for the Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong and is a mentor in the Home Affairs Department’s Yau Tsim Mong District Mentorship Program. He also encourages civic duty among ethnic minorities, including assisting with voter registration for the 2025 Legislative Council General Election.
In 2023, he stood as a candidate in the Yau Tsim Mong South constituency in the District Council elections, reflecting his ongoing engagement with community representation and public affairs.
